A Wocket Where?

Tai King likes to rhyme. I'm typing what he is saying as he plays with his trucks.

"There's a wocket in my pocket. A wocket in my popeck? A po po in my bo bo bo. There's a skunk in my gunk and a stink in my sink. A loey in my zoey and a zoey in my closet. There's a Pizza Nova there too. There is a gloopy in zooby doopy too. There is a ear in my tear and a tear in my eye coming. There is a wocket in my pocket and here, it is for you mommy. HO HO HO. A doo doo tooby. A goopy in your poopy, a gobbit your gobbit in your gobbit in your gobbit. In your poopy. Hey Blues Clues. Is there corn in your belly? In your poopy? The wocket is in the zoey. In your zoey. The zoey is in the tooty, tooty, tooty. In the Pizza Nova. There is a zoey in the poo-loo. In the poopy loo. "

Cat Palace

Tai King and I spent about an hour in Cat Palace this afternoon, as Oi Ying napped. Cat Palace was built by the Ancient Felines, at the base of Meow Mountain. At the top of Meow Mountain is a basin resevoir of cat food, which the Monster Trucks deliver to the cats in the Palace. As we were making the daily delivery, Tai King shushed me, and we listened to Flakey the Gnome singing from far, far away. What a lovely moment that was.

Monster and the Tiny Cat

Our Monster of the Murk has a new friend. A little tiny, tiny cat who lives in Tai King's other hand. Apparently the tiny cat and MOTM met at Tai King's nursery school.

Our Monster

We have a new addition to our family. A monster. The Monster of the Murk. He stepped out of the pages of a book, right into the palm of Tai King's hand. He goes EVERYWHERE with us. He eats with us, he bathes with us, he sleeps with us, and even wears a seat belt in the car. Thank goodnes, Foxy hasn't felt threatened by the Monster of the Murk. Tai King is very thoughtful and gives them both ample affection. The thing I like most about the Monster of the Murk, is his amazing ability to always be found. It seems impossible for him to get lost. Tai King ALWAYS knows where he is, even though he has 'no colour'. Our monster is invisible. On Good Friday, Tai King let me tie an invisible Easter ribbon around MOTM's neck. Foxy proudly donned a visible Easter ribbon.

Flakey The Gnome

Tai King and I had a solid hour and 9 minutes today to talk while Oi Ying napped. As soon as my wee girl was fast asleep, I proposed to Tai King that we make a magic fort to snuggle in. He was all for it, and we clambered onto the couch together and tented a sheet over us. I started a smooching extravaganza by licking some crusted strawberry jam off of his cheeks. When I asked him why he tasted so yummy, he said, "Because I am a pear!". I responded by introducing myself as a Snickerdoodle. We went on being silly for some time, until we realized that we were being watched. Tetley, was peeping at us through a crack in the fort. Tai King tore after him, caught him, dragged him over to the fort, and hugged his furry feline rear end for about 4 minutes. The cat managed to squeeze his way out of Tai King's grasp, took off running and slunk into a hiding place. Back in the magic fort, Tai King asked where the gnomes were. I was surprised that he had heard of such creatures. I asked him what he thought gnomes were, what they do, what they look like...and he didn't seem to have a clear idea, but was very curious. We decided that having a gnome for a friend would be very nice. And so, Flakey the Gnome was born. Flakey lives in the garden, has a pet snail named Nuggy, and loves to sing. If we are very, very quite, we can hear him singing. We often do. Flakey's favourite game is called 'Bop". Tai King taught me a few words in gnome language. 'Nwan, Nwan" means "I have to go poop" and "Doo Boo" means "Mommy". Apparently the moon had taught Tai King these words.

Hector The Bug

We made a new friend today. A bug. His name is Hector. We found him meandering through the canvas box that stores our construction vehicles. He didn't have an answer for why he was snooping through our stuff. Tai King remarked on how very, very, very, very, small Hector was and that he seemed nice. Upon further reflection though, Tai King declared Hector 'a scary bug'. I quite easily persuaded him to believe that Hector was actually a friend, and that he merely wanted to join us for lunch. Hmmm, what do very, very, very, very small bugs eat? Banana and bacon? We thought so. Hector seemed quite comfortable in the small plastic tub that we coerced him into. And he did munch on the banana and bacon. Tai King added a green popsicle stick to Hector's home, to serve as a staircase, a teeter-totter, or an escape ramp. We drew some pictures of other bugs for Hector, in case he was missing his friends in Bug Land. Hector crawled around on the 'map' that Tai King drew for him, while Oi Ying ate the bug picture that I had drawn. Tai King also did the Yo Gabba Gabba banana dance for Hector. Hector liked it. So did Oi Ying. We all enjoyed it. After the banana dance, we decided to assault Hector with questions. Where did he come from? Was his name really Hector? Or was it Vince? What do bugs drink? Where are his friends? Where is Bug Land? Hector had nothing to say, and shared no secrets. We left him alone for awhile, but later gave him some Easter candy and told him that we liked him.

Thank you my concerned Tai King, for offering me birthday cake to make me feel better. You lift me up. And thank you, little Foxy for the many Kissy Kisses. I love your soft and furry round nose.
